Homework Policy
Homework is an important part of the education process. All students will receive homework which is to be neatly prepared and completed on time. For junior school students, homework will consist of spelling tasks, reading aloud to parents and activities related to classroom learning . Additional work will be required for projects and other assignments.
As students progress through upper grades and into secondary school, homework requirements will increase. It is expected that a student in the senior school would spend at least one hour per night completing homework tasks, including review of material covered that day and exercises specifically set by individual class teachers.
Homework not completed by the required date
may
result in the student remaining in school during some breaks, and after school,
in order to complete the task. Parents will be notified in advance when this
needs to occur.
