Lunch Catering at Hope

Hagar LunchHope does not have a venue for purchasing ad-hoc snacks or lunch items. Rather, Hope employs a Catering Service Hagar (a local NGO) who prepare daily lunches and provide them upon receipt of a lunch coupon.

Monthly menus are provided in advance which outline what will be served on each day. Almost thirty percent of our students purchase lunch through the coupon system.  Other students bring a packed lunch or their parents arrange for a hot meal to be delivered. Students dine together in the shaded outdoor dining area. Filtered water is available at all times adjacent to the dining tables.

Hope School Bus Service

Hope provides a school van/mini bus service for families unable to transport their children to and/or from school. A cost is associated with using this service.

All drivers hold a Cambodian driving license and have passed the driving test in Cambodia. Seatbelts are fitted within the vehicles where possible.

A classroom assistant accompanies students on the journeys to ensure safety. This person also has an ongoing relationship with the teaching staff and can communicate issues between school and home. This allows the driver to concentrate fully on driving the bus while the children are supervised by someone respected in the school community.

These buses are also used for excursions within Phnom Penh and as support vehicles on school camps where necessary.

Hope Boarding Facility

In recognition of the difficulty of access to education available to families of provincial Christian workers in Cambodia,  Hope has the provision to offer a boarding home facility to students aged 11 years and older.

Please note: The Boarding Home is not currently operational, however will reopen if required. Please direct Boarding Home enquiries to the school office (enquiries@hopeschool-cambodia.org).
