Hope students and families flocked to the Northbridge sports field early Monday morning, January 23, for the seventh annual Hope School Athletics Day. Students from Preschool through to Year 13 participated in track races, ball games, Frisbee, long lump, shot put, as well as an assortment of novelty games.
Students across all classes were divided into three house groups – red, blue, and green, with points being given out for first, second, and third place, as well as participation points for all other participants. Green won the day with a total of 1,251 points, followed by Red (1,192), and Blue (1,126).
After weeks of preparation, Athletics Day coordinator, Dan Shaw, was pleased with how the day turned out. “I think it was a really enjoyable day for students, parents, and staff,” he says. “It is always good to have the use of a sports field for students to display their sporting talents.”
