From the Director
Welcome to Hope International School. Hope is a vibrant and warm school community which has seen dramatic growth and change since commencing in 2002.
It
is a privilege to serve at Hope School. We see our role as a partnership with
families who are serving Jesus in this nation. Hope School is
committed to serving Third Culture Kids (TCKs) and firmly believes in
the vision for our students to become “Global-minded servant-leaders
with a biblical understanding and application of knowledge, impacting
the world for Christ.“
Prior to working at Hope School I underestimated the impact a mission school like this plays in the lives of families. In my first year we farewelled a family of three girls and I was deeply moved as we prayed and said goodbye. I came to appreciate the depth and significance of relationships that are established in such a community which are experiences that mould lives for a lifetime.
Hope School is committed to teaching from a biblical worldview, with the Bible being the foundation for all we do. The teachers at Hope School are all qualified professionals who educationally bring out the very best in each child. My desire is for Hope School to provide an excellent education and to be a community where children are nurtured, valued and are able to experience the love of Christ.
Our students represent 30 nationalities but primarily come from Korea, USA, Australia, UK and Cambodia. Approximately 80% of the students are from mission families and 10% Christians working in other organisations here in Cambodia.
My family and I are currently on sabbatical in Australia and will return to Cambodia in August 2012. I am thankful to Mr Mark Rye who has taken on the role of Acting Director in my absence.
Please feel free to contact Hope School if you have further questions. We would be delighted to hear from you.
God Bless,
Brent Willsmore

Hope International School
This is a significant time for Hope School as we celebrate our first ten years and look forward to the next ten years. I'm excited to be part of all that God is doing through the students, teachers, staff and families of Hope School - from the things that are developing and growing us as individuals to the things that the Hope School community are involved in beyond our school walls which are impacting the nation of Cambodia and her people.
It is a joy and a privilege to serve as Acting Director of Hope School.
Mark Rye
